The start of Motocross season...

Last weekend was the start of the 2009 Motocross season. We left home about 7am to arrive at Young for 8. There was a huge turnout for the 1st round of club competition, which was great! Of course, Joel had an absolute ball & he did really well....finishing about the middle of the pack for all 3 rounds. It was a hot, dry, dusty day.....so I was glad when the day was over & we could head home.

Here are a few pics I snapped on the day.....

Now for some scrappy shares....all challenges again.

This LO is for the March Snatch n Scrap competition at Scrapbook n Bits - using Vicky's LO as our inspiration. I loved the simplicity of the strips of PP, yet they are so effective. I've used the BG Bittersweet papers....I'm still loving those papers! and have plenty more to create some more LO's with :)

March cybercrop at Scrapbook n Bits was on last Friday night - unfortunately I wasn't able to join in the fun on the night - but was able to get a few of the challenges done over the weekend. This one was a colour challenge - to use Orange, Green & Purple....I was surprised how fun this was to scrap & I quite like the outcome.

Another challenge from Friday nights cybercrop - a technique challenge....distressing. I've used the new BoBunny Grease Monkey papers & stickers on this one....and love how it's turned out.

This was a fun comp at Scrapbook n Bits - Karen had posted us an evelope of goodies that we weren't allowed to open until the 25th March - the night of the comp. There were 2 challenges, but before they were revealed we had to choose whether we would use the envelope contents for challenge 1 or 2, and then our stash was to be used for the remaining challenge. Once we had chosen which was for what...the challenges were revealed. I chose challenge 1 using the envelope - which was to create a baby LO using the envelope contents plus from your stash -cardstock, stamps, inks or paint, rubons & alphas.

Yet another challenge at Scrapbook n Bits - March eye-spy challenge - had to have birds, curls & swirls. I love this range of papers & was totally chuffed that I finally got to use them from my stash after having them for months!

This was a challenge set by Mel for the March challenge at Scrapbook n Bits. Criteria was to use Dusty pinks, Sea greens, Browns & Vanillas...and this is what I came up with.

This one was a FREE class at Scrapbook n Bits - by the lovely, talented Lisa.
I have also been doing some secretive scrapping that I can't share just yet.....stay tuned, and I will share when I'm able to reveal :)

Life has still been as busy as ever....and we are all looking forward to going away at Easter to Jindabyne! Hoping the weather stays nice for us, and not do the usual rain thing that normally happens at Easter!
We are also thinking of going away this Christmas....not sure exactly where yet, maybe the Whitsundays, Broome, Tassie or even New Zealand or Fiji....so that's something to look forward to & a bit of encouragement to drag myself to work each week...lol
Well, it's way past my bed time...so I am going to hit the sack.
Till next time....Toodlepip....and happy scrapping! :)
