Cutting the cake - Scrapbooking Memories Vol. 12 No. 3

The harsh reality of a long hot summer in the bush - Scrapbooking Memories Vol. 12 No. 6
(pics showing the effects of the drought on our local dam, which is our water supply - water level was at 5%)

Thanks for dropping by to visit my blog....hopefully I will have some more scrapping to share soon!

Another Scrap the Boys challenge....

Scrap the Boys have 2 challenges each month - The second challenge goes up on the 15th of each month.  This months 2nd challenge was an optional sketch challenge & to use stamping somewhere on your LO.

Here is my entry.....

Something a bit different for me - to use a busy type patterened paper as my background  & I think I quite like the look of this one....along with some brights to help liven it all up a bit.  I stuck to the sketch & for the stamping element, I have stamped a variety of embellishments.  TFL!

This is the first LO I have scrapped in about 2 weeks!!!  I thought I had lost my mojo & had no desire to scrap - at all.  Thank goodness it's all coming back to me.....

Layout catchup .....

Well, it's that dreaded EOFY time atm - so I've been trying to get all our tax stuff in order (but I'm still not finished yet) - so not a lot of scrapping around these parts for the past week or so.  But I do have a few recent LO's that I haven't shared as yet.......

The first 2 are just because layouts......

^^ This one was a free online class by Jane Butler over at Scrapbook N Bits.

^^ And this one was also a free class over at Scrapbook N Bits by Monique Follett

This one was a challenge by Michelle at Scrapboutiqe to do a layout using some merchandise purchased for Red Nose Day - I have used a little lapel pin that is in the centre of the white flower.

That's all for now....hopefully more scrapping will be done soon!
Thanks for dropping by  :)

Scrap the Boys!

Did you know that Scrap the Boys is back up & running???....woohoooooo!

I love that challenge blog & was sad when it finished up in Dec last year :(

The new CT is full of very talented ladies - they all have their own unique style & there is soooo much inspiration from them.

So, the first challenge for July is now up on the STB blog ....and that is capture the vital information of your boy right now.....

So for your layout you need to use a portrait shot, one of those “nothing photos” (you know that photo you love but does not have a story or event attached to it) and record your boy’s vital statistics right now making sure you add in some quirky facts about them.

And here is my layout for this months challenge....loved doing this one!

Thanks for dropping by & happy scrapping everyone :)

A new month.....

Means new challenges!

Welcome to the JULY Kraft it Up challenge........

This months challenge is to create a LO of any size, using Kraft, of course :-)...... and you also need to use between 4 and 6 photos, and these can be any sized photos.  If you go to the KIU blog you can see from the CT's gorgeous layouts we have all used an assortment of sizes.

Your entry needs to be emailed to Mel no later than 8pm on the 31st July - kraft.it.up@hotmail.com

And here is my sample using this months criteria....

As you can see, I used 4 little passport sized photos.

It is an awesome challenge this month, to get us out of our comfort zone of scrapping with just 1 or 2 photos - so why not give it a go?
We'd love to see what you come up with!
