For a special friend....

Hi there everyone....hope you are all enjoying your new years eve celebrations!

I was just in the process of trying to sort out my top fav layouts for 2013, when I realised there's a layout I haven't shared yet!

It is a layout I created for the beautiful Victoria Freze, which she has received & loves, which makes me super duper happy!!!

Soooo, here is the layout I created for her, which I really enjoyed creating, as the photo is just stunning (I really hope I did the photo justice!).......

Using papers from the Becky Higgins - Project Life Cinnamon Edition ....which I thought really suited this gorgeous photo of Victoria :)))

 and few close ups...

I'm so glad that you like your layout, Victoria...and that it brought you so much joy!! :)

Glitz Sunshine in my Soul - for All About Scrapbooks

Hello there scrappers.....how did everyone enjoy their Christmas?
I hope the man in red was generous to you all & that you all had a lovely day spent with family & friends :))))

I'm back today to share my last AAS DT layout for December, using the gorgeous Glitz Design - Sunshine in my soul collection....and my layout is based on one of Em Stafrace's fab sketches over at Page Drafts.

"Cliffs of Moher"

A little bit of template work on the background, then a bit of layering with the gorgeous papers in this collection...plus a heap of stickers from 2 different sticker sheets in this range.

Here is a close up of my main cluster

and another smaller cluster

Title using the alpha stickers....and my journaling (and note, it's not strip journaling!!! lol)

close up of some of the circles & the template work on the background.
For the circles, cut from the 2crafty Circular panel,  I first coated them in gesso, then roughly in modelling paste for some added texture, and finally I coloured using my butterscotch gelato with some light inking on top of that.

My next project is a card...using some of the leftovers from my previous layout using Kaisercraft's Key to my heart collection.

"Welcome Olivia"

Not your traditional type of baby card....but I love it and so did my Niece :)

A bit of a close up of the main cluster...with a paper doily as the base.

You can see my post over on the All About Scrapbooks blog HERE....with a heap of close ups & all the details on products used etc.  Please pop on over & check it out!

Thanks so much for dropping by to visit...it is very much appreciated.
Not long now & we'll be into 2014 :-0 ....so happy new year, and here's to a safe & prosperous 2014

More Prima "Sunrise-Sunset" for All About Scrapbooks - OUAS Dec sketch challenge

Hi everyone....I am back with some more Prima Sunrise-Sunset goodness for All About Scrapbooks.  I just love this collection!!!  It is such a joy to work with such gorgeous papers...and the fact that they are quite thick & sturdy is a bonus....makes distressing & using mixed media products on them so much easier when the papers are of a good quality.

Anyways...on with the scrapping.

My layout is based on the December Once Upon a Sketch challenge.  To use the sketch & the theme for journaling is your favourite month.  Mine is October....

Soooo lots of Manorhouse, Prima & Green Tara blooms & some fabulous 2crafty chipboard on this one.  I just love that 2crafty circle frame and the summer leaf stem.

Here is this months OUAS

My title...One October Afternoon....while we in Ireland at a place that has been on my list for a very long time....The Dark Hedges.

A small cluster with a mix of flowers & another Prima mechanical.

And my journaling ...which is the basics of where, when, why etc.
( I have a HEAP more journaling on the back of my layout - see pic at end of my post)

And this is my journaling on the back of the layout, about why October is my favourite month...and then also more detailed journaling about our time at the Dark Hedges on this October afternoon, and what it meant to me to be there :)

You can see more details on products used etc, over on the All About Scrapbooks blog HERE....please pop over and take a looksie & leave a comment so we know that you have visited.  It would also be great & appreciated if you would become a follower, as being a new blog, we are trying to build up our followings....TY

Until next time....which will probably be after the big man in red makes his appearance, I hope you all have a safe & happy Christmas...and a great & creative 2014.

Kaisercraft "Key to my heart" for All About Scrapbooks - Kaisercraft Saturday sketch - Dec #1 + some exciting news!!!

Hi all....I am back today to share the 2nd part of this weeks DT work for All About Scrapbooks, using Kaisercrafts "Key to my heart" collection.

But first things first....I have some amazing, super duper exciting news to share!
Something I've been keeping a secret for, for months...but I can now reveal what my news is.
I WILL BE JOINING THE SCRAPBOOKING MEMORIES (AUSTRALIA'S BIGGEST SCRAPPING MAGAZINE) CREATIVE TEAM FOR 2014!!!!!  I am still pinching myself about this one....I find it hard to believe that little ol me, the quiet achiever (as I've been called many times) has been given this amazing opportunity.  So as of January you will start to see my articles in SBM....I can't wait!

Ok, on with my scrapping share :)

My layout is based on the Saturday sketch for Dec #1 over on the Kaisercraft blog.
Here is what I came up with....I've tried to achieve a bit of a vintagy feel to go with my photo....

All Kaisercraft products, bar a few pieces.  Kaisercraft products are -  papers from Key to my heart as well as diecuts from the Collections pack, wooden embellishments, paper blooms, lace, script stamp & bubbles template.

And here are a few close ups....

My main cluster

Title & journaling

Butterflies from the Collections pack

Pic is of my mum & 3 of her sisters (she is on the far right) around 1950...somewhere in Sydney.
I am still trying to find out the exact details, and will add any relevant journaling as it comes to hand (as I do like to tell the whole story...lol)
I am going to give the layout to my mum as part of her christmas present this year....I'm pretty sure she is going to love it <3

You can see my post over on the All About Scrapbooks blog HERE
including more details and a full list of products used.

Anyways...until next time, happy scrapping & have a great week  xx

Prima "Sunrise Sunset" for All About Scrapbooks - Prima December BAP

Hi everyone & welcome :)

I am back again to share more creativity for All About Scrapbooks using the stunning Prima "Sunrise Sunset" collection....and what more can I say, than this collection was such a joy to work with & I love it!

So my layout is based on the December Prima BAP (Build a page)...and this is what I came up with

Oodles of Prima used here - All papers are Prima - Sunrise Sunset collection, then there's Prima flowers, alphas x 2, vintage trinkets, JunkYard Findings - Vintage zipper trinket, resin corners & key lock, stitched circles stamp.

Photo is of the Molly Malone statue In Dublin from our recent trip to Ireland.
The words to the complete song are journaled on the back of the layout.

Here is this months Prima BAP - which was so easy & fun to work with!

 2013 December BAP Magda

And now for a few close ups.....

Title...using 2 different Prima alphas....and some textured background work with stamping using the Stitched Circles stamp.....and I have to say that this stamp is fantastic...and genius IMO!  The largest of the stamps in the pack actually comes apart and is 3 stamps in one!

An overall view of my photo & clusters....as well as a bit of textured background work.

And the main cluster with more Prima goodness.

So there you have it....my first ever attempt at a Prima BAP!
And it was a heap of FUN!

More close ups & details on products used, including links to the All About Scrapbook store, are over on the AAS blog HERE...I would love it if you popped over for a looksie, and also become a follower of the All About Scrapbooks blog if you aren't already.....thanks :)

Thanks so much for dropping by & I hope you have enjoyed your visit....xx

Sunshine in my soul card for All About Scrapbooks - Cardabilities sketch # 88

Good morning scrappers....happy Sunday!

I'm back to share a card I created using some of the leftover pieces from my Glitz - "Sunshine in my soul" DT pack from All About Scrapbooks...based on sketch #88 at Cardabilities.

I am seriously NOT a card maker, so it's a fairly simple one & is very true to the sketch.
Using the Glitz Design papers & stickers, Manor House & Green Tara flowers, 2Crafty chipboard, some twine & Kaisercraft pearls.

A close up of the wee cluster

And the sentiment using the alphas from the Alphabets & words sticker sheet.

You can see my blogpost over on the All About Scrapbooks blog HERE
Including a full list of products with links at the bottom of the post.
Please pop over and check out this brand new blog,
and it would be fantastic if you would become a follower :)

Thanks so much for dropping by....enjoy your Sunday :)  xx
