Kaisercraft DT - Oh So Lovely

Hello there again....I am back so quickly as I am having a bit of catching up to do with my blog posts due to my internet being knocked out with a storm last weekend.  Thank goodness it's now back up again & I now feel that my right arm has been re-attached!!! LOL

Today I have some Oh So Lovely to share as part of my Kaisercraft DT work.
This is a super pretty collection....just gorgeous in colour, patterns & all the bits & bobs that come with in the Collectables pack, sticker sheet etc etc.

"Precious Moments"

I couldn't go past using the gorgeous pink & white spotted Femme paper as my main background piece.

And how adorable is this cute little diecut birdcage from the Collectables pack?!?
I've used it as the main piece for my cluster, with some added blooms, diecut leaves using the Berry Vine Decorative Die & some more Collectables & Sticker pieces.

I added some random stamping on the background using one of the stamps from the Oh So Lovely clear stamp set....and here you can also see more collectables & sticker pieces layered in with the papers.  I have also used a few of the 6x4 Pretty Little Things Captured Moments cards under the photo.

Another small cluster of blooms, Collectaables pieces & diecut Berry Vine leaves.
AND how totally gorgeous is that printed map paper at the top of the page?!?  It is on the reverse side of the Lass paper - Love it!

I have added a strip of KC white lace in between my paper layers for a bit of added texture & I've also used one of the cut off strips - the deep pink ruler piece for a little bit of added contrast & interest.

The cute little dragon flies are from the Collectables pack & I've popped them up on some foam tape to give them a bit of height off the page.

Last layout with My Minds Eye "Hello World" for All About Scrapbooks

Hi everyone....just quickly popping in to share my last layout for April for All About Scrapbooks
using the fun travel themed collection from My Minds Eye - Hello World

"Leaving on a Jet Plane"

I've pretty much used leftover pieces, besides the background piece for this one....and also using up more of the wood veneers, stickers & diecuts - all from the Hello World range.

The photo was not taken by me...I'd have had to have been up in the air along side the plane to get such a fabulous shot!! lol!   I found it online & used it on my page as I am wanting to document a few of our flight experiences over the years - Journaling to go on the back of the layout.

Here's a few close ups....

More details of products & techniques can be seen over on the AAS blog HERE

A quick visit tonight, so things a bit brief!
Thanks so much for dropping by :))))  xx

Another layout for All About Scrapbooks using My Minds Eye "Hello World"

Hi everyone & welcome once again.

Today I have another fun layout to share for All About Scrapbooks using the fab & colourful

"The spectacular $5 Ferry Ride"

These are photos from a trip into Sydney last year.  I have never ever caught a ferry from the outer western suburbs into Sydney...we've always either caught a train or drove in the car.  So this was a whole new experience for me....and who would have thought that a $5 fair on public transport could be so spectacular!  I had a ball & loved it.  If I've ever got to go into Sydney again, I know what I will be doing from now on....I'll be parking the car at some point along the Parramatta River
and catching the ferry!

Here's a few close ups....

As always, all the details on products & techniques can be seen over on the AAS blog HERE
Please pop over there if you want more details :)

Thanks so much for dropping by!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend...what's left of it.  xx

Kaisercraft DT - Antique Bazaar

Hi everyone & welcome :)

Today I have a few projects to share with one of Kaisercraft's new releases for April,
Antique Bazaar!

The rich earthy colours in this collection are right up my ally & I have loved creating with them!

First up is an OTP project, using the new Shadow Box Shelf....

I've used a variety of papers from the paper pad as the background for each of the divided squares in the shadow box & then have embellished each one differently using mostly pieces from the Collectables pack....which is full of fabulous pieces, such as items one might expect to find at an antique bazaar :))))

I painted all the front edges of the shadow box in 2 different Kaisercolour paints - Antique White & Mocha...and then finished it off by lightly inking with Kaisercraft Bark ink pad.

I covered the outside edges of the box in the Barter paper and the inside columns & shelves with the Gather paper.

Here is a close up of each of the decorated squares of the shadow box....

One of the beautiful little vase/urn's from the collectables pack with a few punched embellishments & some Kaisercraft paper blooms.

Again some pieces from the collectables pack & stickers from the sticker sheet....and I've also added some more blooms to the side/foreground to help show the depth of the shelf

Here I've used the new Lattice decorative die that I've cut into a smaller piece to use on the background with a Collectables clock face, more paper blooms & some Berry Vine die cut leaves.

I have added some random stamping on the plainer paper and also splashed around some of the new Kaisermist in Antique gold....which goes perfectly with the colours of this collection!
Again I've used the Lattice decorative die to make the background for this box....but this time I've used the negative pieces of the lattice that would normally just get thrown away!  I've popped them up on some foam tape to give a bit of dimension and finished off with a another Collectables piece & some punched butterflies.

The centre box has been left fairly plain, with just the addition of some of the stickers from the sticker sheet that have been popped up on some foam tape.

Again, some random stamping using the Flutter clear stamp, a few paper blooms with some punched leaves with some punched butterflies as well.

More pieces from the diecut Lattice piece & Berry Vine leaves....a few little mini paper blooms & another punched butterfly.

This is another of the gorgeous little vases/urns from the collectables pack...which I've put onto some foam tape to help lift them from the back of the box.

This is my favourite of the urn pieces....and I've added some more diecut Berry Vine leaves, along with another Collectables piece & a mini paper bloom.

Across the top right hand corner of the box I've added a small cluster using a few different coloured paper blooms, a wooden flourish & some more of the Berry Vine decorative die leaves that I cut from a piece of Kaisercraft cork sheeting.

This is a better view of the cork Berry Vine leaves as mentioned above.

And this little street lamp is another of the Kaisercraft decorative dies, that I've added a heap of texture to & was used as part of my Tuesday Tip article over on the Kaisercraft blog a few weeks ago :)

Kaisercraft Products: Antique Bazaar – Gather P1803, Barter P1805, Paper Pad PP966, Collectables CT824, Sticker Sheet SS279, Lattice Decorative Die DD709, Berry Vine Decorative Die DD522, Street Lamp Decorative Die DD513, Honey paper blooms F628, Sage paper blooms F632, Ruby paper blooms F636, Terracotta paper blooms F635, Honey mini paper blooms F645, Terracotta mini paper blooms F652, Latte Pearls SB715, Flutter clear stamp CS853, Antique Gold Kaisermist KM102, Cork Sheet CB152, Flourish Swirls pack SB729, Antique White Kaisercolour KC002, Mocha Kaisercolour KC049, Bark Ink IP724, Foam Tape T303
Other – Butterfly punches, Leaf punch, Button, Distress Ink, Modelling Paste, Mists

Ok, now onto a layout

"The Acropolis"

Oh how I love these colours!
I used the Restore paper for my background & have added some template work using the Kaisercraft Lattice template and Kaisermist Antique Gold that I sponged on randomly....and I really love the subtle effect this gives, rather than the bold effect given when spraying the mists directly over the template.  I've also added some random stamping on the background using the Antique Bazaar clear stamp set.
And this time I've used a much larger piece of the Lattice decorative die as a background feature in behind the photos - this is a really cool die that I know will get lots of use from me!
It's definitely a must have :)))

A few paper blooms in coordinating colours to match the papers, with a few Collectables pieces, Stickers & some diecut leaves using the Leaves decorative die.

Here's a close up of the Lattice decorative die.  I have randomly cut off a few of the edges so that it wasn't a straight edged rectangle piece, and I've also randomly inked it with some distress ink.

And there is me, some 30 years ago, sitting in the foreground :)

Here's a bit of a close up of the sponged Antique Gold Kaisermist used with the Lattice template....plus the random stamping.

Other – Button, Flower, Distress Ink

And lastly, a card

"The Best of Times"

I've layered a few papers & collectables frame pieces for the main part of the card & then added a small cluster of blooms, Collectables & diecut Berry Vine leaves.  And again I've been using the fabulous new Lattice decorative die...this time as a strip across the card.

More My Minds Eye - Hello World for All About Scrapbooks

Hi there y'all...hope you are all well this fine Saturday morning!

I am back to share my 2nd layout for April for All About Scrapbooks, again using

This is such a fun travel themed collection of papers & embellies...and I couldn't go past scrapping this hot air balloon pic that I snapped out my back door this last winter.

My layout is based on sketch #136 at Sketchabilities

"Up, Up and Away"

I also couldn't go past using that fabulous chevron paper for my background!
I love all the multiple colours on it....plus that little bit of added pattern on some of the chevrons too....I'm pretty sure it is map print on them!

And here's a few close ups....

Wood veneers mixed with some 2Crafty chipboard <3

I love these Petaloo Burlap flowers!

And of course, some journaling telling the story about the hot air balloon hovering above my backyard!

For all the details on products & techniques used, please pop on over to the AAS blog HERE

Thanks so much for dropping by to see my work :) xx
